When timing is the real question

You can plan your course while trusting God to direct your steps.

When timing is the real question. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. You do not need omniscience to make a faithful decision. Jesus Christ can direct a surrendered person one step at a time. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Which reaction feels automatic here, and what would obedience look like instead?

Jesus, interrupt whatever is automatic in me that does not look like Your truth. Give me a clear mind, a guarded heart, and the courage to do the next faithful thing. Amen.
